4G USE® Headless is Coda Octopus’s cross-platform control and data-management application designed specifically for autonomous deployments of the Echoscope PIPE® sonar. 4G USE® Headless is ideal for autonomous marine vehicles, OEM system integrators and advanced robotics platforms that require high-performance real-time 3D sonar control and data acquisition.

• Full 4G USE^® Capability Set

Includes Real-Time XYZ point cloud output, multi-sonar and multi-rotator interfacing, navigation and attitude offset handling, and complete sequencer control.In Headless Configuration mode the user has the same deployment options available as in the 4G USE® product, so all current sonar & rotator devices, including time-lock capabilities, and custom navigation telegrams are available.

• Machine-Controlled Operation

A streamlined, headless design enables direct control via a simple API, allowing autonomous systems to manage all sonar functions without a human operator.

• Live Data Output and Recording

Supports real-time data streaming to third-party applications while simultaneously recording Echoscope® datasets in the standard 4G USE® project structure for post-mission review, processing and reporting.

• Cross Platform Compatibility

Runs on Windows 11 and Ubunta Linux, with support for both AMD64 and ARM64 processor architextures - ideal for embedded and edge compute environments.

While 4G USE® Headless Edition is intended to output live data in real time as global XYZ, it also records the raw data from all devices into the project database. Once they’ve configured the project and they’ve run their mission they can open the project again and perform any clean-up or additional data export in whatever format they choose via the Custom Export Format feature.
