New DAVD Webinar Series from Coda Octopus

Coda Octopus is delighted to announce that we will be hosting a series of webinars designed to educate the market on our recently released product - Diver Augmented Vision Display (DAVD).

About the DAVD

DAVD is a complete end-to-end diver management solution which integrates a high-resolution, transparent glass, head-up display (HUD) unit inside Kirby Morgan® diving helmets. DAVD is controlled from the surface by the Dive Supervisor via the DAVD-Control Panel and accompanying Coda Octopus 4G USE® DAVD Edition software, allowing display of real-time 3D imagery of the diver's environment created by Coda Octopus' 3D real time volumetric sonar, the Echoscope®, in both first and third person perspectives, regardless of the prevailing water visibility conditions. In addition to the provision of real time scanning of underwater environment and augmented reality (AR) scene awareness, the Dive Supervisor is able to communicate seamlessly via real-time images, videos, technical drawings, text style messaging and step-by-step instructional sets. The DAVD is funded by the Office of Naval Research (ONR) through its Future Naval Capabilities (FNC) program, and continues to be managed by NAVSEA 00C3. The system was originally developed under a CRADA agreement with Naval Surface Warfare Center, Panama City Division (NSWC PCD) and our sponsor NAVSEA. DAVD is a multi-generation project and the DAVD GEN 1 Product is now an Approved Navy Use (ANU) product which is currently in use by the Navy.
