Accountant
Job Purpose
Key member of a small finance function responsible for the full breadth of accounting processes for numerous companies based in UK and abroad. This is a group wide role and you will be involved in multiple companies within the group.
Job Duties:
As a small Company, the Financial Analyst/Accountant will cover the breadth of the Finance Function which will include:
- Sales ledger including credit control
- Purchase Ledger including payment runs
- Month end close and management accounts including full reconciliations
- Quarterly external reporting/SEC filing
- Intercompany/Intergroup reviews
- VAT reviews and lodgements
- External financial audit and ISO:9001 processes
- Grant funding claims
- Goodwill impairment reviews
- Adhere to and enhance the company's financial policies and procedures
- Suggest changes or improvements to increase accuracy, efficiency, and cost reductions
- Working closely with FD and MD, we require a confident individual contributor who can step up when the FD is out of the office
Skills and Qualifications:
- More than 3 years relevant or similar experience in most aspects of the role.
- SAGE 200 experience strongly preferred. Qualified CIMA/ACCA preferred with strong basic accounting skills
- Self-starter with excellent written and verbal communication skills; good mathematical skills; understanding of data privacy standards; integrity; honesty; customer-service skills; familiarity with business principles and practices; strong attention to detail; organisational skills; planning skills; problem-solving skills; analytical skills; time management skills ; computer skills, particularly with spreadsheets; flexible and ability to multi task
