The Octopus 461 Toolkit is an alternative approach to sonar mosaic processing. The 461 Toolkit delivers high performance sidescan image processing on a customer’s own PC at a very low price.

The 461 Toolkit is extremely versatile, yet very easy to use and can create mosaics in a matter of minutes. It accepts digital data in most popular formats so can be used with existing data sets or acquisition systems.

Data files can be replayed and displayed, whilst co-ordinates and dimensions of objects can be extracted on screen. Fix-up utilities are available to correct navigation data and fine tune sonar data quality, including gain adjustment, channel balancing and channel-swapping, prior to mosaicing.

All output image files are geo-referenced for direct export into
GIS and CAD reports. Mosaics are available quickly and easily. From a mosaic it is possible to check co-ordinates and measure distance on screen, as well as digitising boundaries of seabed contours or bottom types with XY CAD compatible output files.
