Octopus greyscale thermal printers produce
high quality continuous images onto thermal paper or film and
are ideal for hardcopy output of geophysical data (sidescan and
seismic) and other continuous data.
With an excellent worldwide track record as
robust and reliable thermal recorders, Octopus printers are in
use by many of the world's leading hydrographic survey companies
and marine institutions.

The new Octopus 120+ benefits from a complete new electronic
design and features a new menu-driven interface. Producing high
quality continuous images, it is up to five times faster than
the previous model and is ideal for hardcopy output of geophysical
data.

With a wide range of interface options including
Ethernet, USB and parallel (Centronics) and compatible with most
PC based acquisition systems, the Octopus 120+ is easily interfaced
with commonly used data sources. A unique three channel analogue
input capability has fully independent channel settings, enabling
simultaneous display of geophysical data such as seismic and sidescan.
Print
resolution of 200 dpi at up to 256 grey levels, with a print width
of 2368 pixels means that data can be printed at very high resolutions.
With 20% greater print width than many other similar models, the
Octopus 120+ is able to print three channels without compromising
resolution.
Fully interchangeable with the original Octopus
120 printer, a selection of upgrade or trade-in options is available
to current owners.

With the unique the three channel input capability, fully independent
channel settings allow simultaneous display of
data such as seismic and sidescan. Offering 200 dpi print resolution
at up to 256 grey levels, with 4096 pixel print width, data can
be printed at very high resolutions.
Interface options include parallel (Centronics) and the Octopus
200 printer is easily interfaced with commonly used data sources.

Thermal Media
Thermal media supplied by CodaOctopus is extensively tested for
print quality and is the only type we recommend not only to guarantee
the best results but to avoid print head fouling problems.
Low cost paper from other sources has been found to produce poor
print quality and grainy results with the possibility of fouling
the print head within less than one roll. Statistics show that
when the head is harder to clean, the likelihood of damage is
significantly increased, especially when cleaning is carried out
by less experienced operators.
